It was just recently
Richard's friend Evan, our hockey buddy, got married to Flora on an
Alaskan cruise.
During the
post-wedding celebration with friends, I finally got to chat with Flora
one-on-one. We discussed her wedding and my wedding planning. When we got
to the discussion of wedding cakes, it was then that I found out that she's a
pastry chef at Sutton Place Hotel. Flora offered to make our wedding cake!
It was amazing!

As for the look and
appearance of the cake...time for us to start googling and checking out wedding
magazine for ideas on how we would like the cake to look. At the same time,
besides a simple and clean design for the cake, we'll probably leave it to Flora
and let her have a free artistic hand at the creation of the cake.
